Bluekanine takes pride in how he deals with business. He works very closely with the client to make sure their expectations are met and possibly exceeded-- it's all about satisfying the customer.

reservations

Bluekanine uses a 'slot' system, in which clients contact Bluekanine to sign up for a commission on a first-come first-served basis. If the client is approved of getting a slot, the artist will keep in close communication to discuss details. The client must then maintain their slot by paying the amount at the time(s) agreed upon between the artist and the client (please refer to the payment details below). If the first payment is not paid in due time, the guest's slot may be given to someone else.

working Description

Bluekanine enjoys to work as close as possible to the client. This means that he works on his commissions one at a time, to really focus on the quality. The artist will be in close communication with the client, and show plenty work-in-progress sketches as the commission moves along, in order to get the client's input and approval most of the way through. Further details are below, as well as in the sent Bid & Proposal after the client is approved of a spot in the commission-slot-list.

payment

Bluekanine understands that his clients are still people with budgets in their lives. That's why he prefers to dicuss payment directly with the client, to compose a custom payment-plan that works for both the client and artist.

Payment methods Bluekanine currently accepts include:

  • Paypal
  • Money orders
  • Well-concealed cash

Paypal is the preferred payment method. Well-concealed cash is accepted under the client's own risk.

shipping

There is no shipping fee for digital commissions, unless the client requests to have their files sent to them on a cd.

For traditional medium commissions, the client will pay $2 more than the actual shipping costs. (details apply to special traditional medium commissions).

reproduction and distribution rights

Bluekanine retains the full copyrights to all commissioned images, including the character(s) belonging to the client. This means that bluekanine reserves the right to distribute digitl and/or hard copies. The client is allowed to make copies and use as they please for non-profit and/or non-mass-distributed personal use only without Bluekanine's expressed and written permission.

notes

Because Bluekanine believes in a close client-to-artist working enviorment, all further details are customized for the client and inputed during the Bid & Proposal phase. Before the artist actually works on the commission, the client must agree to understanding all commission policies posted here and in the Big & Proposal.
